About The Artist
Lawrence D . Johnson has an M.F.A. degree from the University of
Nebraska in Lincoln , Nebraska, and a B.F.A. degree from the
College of The Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Johnson has taught Painting and Drawing and other art courses
at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas; University of
Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska; Riverbend Art Center in Dayton,
Ohio and Troy-Hayner Cultural Center in Troy, Ohio.
The shows and exhibitions the artist has been in start in 1975 and
continue today. He's been in many local, regional and national
juried exhibitions and has taken part in several invitational shows.
While a graduate student at the University of Nebraska he won the
graduate Vreeland Award, the most prestigious award given for
outstanding graduate thesis work.
His paintings are owned by various corporations and individuals
throughout The United States.
